Peter Leech

Western Europe Ambassador

Peter’s long career with one major international Agricultural Engineering corporation (John Deere) has given him considerable experience in how the product support business works in the pursuit of customer satisfaction. Peter has many achievements and has played a significant role in the success of that company in the UK and W Europe.

These achievements include the development of a dealer standards program with a measurement and reward systems which has motivated and funded the dealer network to develop its product support capabilities and help change attitudes.
Peter has been instrumental in persuading the company to adopt the Customer Satisfaction processes introduced in the USA across Europe starting with the UK. This was achieved through pilot studies in the UK with positive measurable results. Peter has helped develop the program to a point where the system now provides detailed metrics on every aspect of satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, Peter adopted a real-time worldwide system for customer comment follow up and reporting which is now used throughout Europe.

In the people related area, Peter has two particular achievements these being the recruitment programme from work placement students (interns) through to junior management level, in effect a career path which Peter has evolved and developed along with leading Universities, this later developed into the European wide Management Trainee Programme. Peter also developed and instigated the Ag Tech apprentice training programme for dealers which has been enormously successful and recognized with a National Training Award. Most recently Peter has developed and introduced a very complex and comprehensive set of programs for dealers to market their service business and provide guaranteed customer satisfaction.
